Tales of the Gladiator
In 2008 Lear was given the special honor of editing Zane Grey’s log documenting the legendary Western novelist and angler’s period in the 1920s where he fished for broadbill swordfish off the California coast. The log had never been published previously. Lear did the background research and edited the manuscript.
Tales of the Gladiator was published in 2008 as a limited-edition, collectible book and was the first original Grey work published in 75 years.
